John Archer is the Chief Development Officer for 360 Collective. He has over 22 years of experience as a retail and commercial consultant for both the public and private sectors in Canada, U.S., India, Russia, and the Middle East. John specializes in urban and mixed-use real estate, including site selection, gap analysis, consumer market research, feasibility studies, impact assessments, business district revitalization, branding, farmers’ and public markets, shopping centres, and infill projects. He sat for six years on the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute’s Toronto District Council. John has extensive experience analysing downtown and main street businesses and recommending policies and programs to support them. He has worked with Planning and Economic Development Departments in Toronto and other large cities including New York City, Boston, Houston, Calgary, Denver, Dubai, Doha as well as in smaller communities such as Dundas, Bronte, Waterdown, Parry Sound. His projects include the CUI Bring Back Main Streets Initiative, Return on Investment of BIAs for OBIAA, BIA strategic planning work for many organizations the TOcore Retail Analysis, Impact of Large Retail on Pedestrian Main Streets, Toronto Retail Design Manual, and Toronto Retail Main Streets Study projects.
