Rob Hunter is also a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Economic Development Program. He has worked in field of Economic Development for the last twenty years and is currently the Economic Development Officer for the Municipality of South Dundas. Prior to this he spent time work for the Township of North Dundas, the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association and Downtown Brockville Business Improvement Area.Rob has won numerous awards is his field and was named the 2014 Ontario East Economic Development Commission ‘Economic Developer of the Year’ and in March 2019 he was presented with the Medal of Freedom and Economic Cooperation by the Republic of South Korea at a award ceremony held at the Parliament Buildings in Seoul. Rob also holds two professional accreditation designations; Canadian Certified Economic Developer with Fellowship ‘Ec.D (F)’ from EDAC and International Certified Economic Developer ‘CEcD’ from IEDC. He currently sits on the St. Lawrence College Board of Governors and the EDCO Stakeholder Relations Committee.
