EDCO is excited to host the 65th Annual Conference & Showcase, Move ON, as a hybrid conference at the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre. This will be the first time we are coming together in two years. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the highlight of the professional calendar for the economic developer community.

The information outlined below is importance to you and your safety. Please read the document thoroughly and be sure to check back to keep up with evolving requirements to participate safely.

DUTY OF CARE AND PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY COMMITMENT

EDCO continues to be committed to following government regulations and guidelines as they apply to COVID- 19 as well as the requirements of local health authorities and our suppliers.

As such, we are undertaking preventative measures to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus at the conference, April 5-7, 2022, in accordance with COVID-19 regulations provided by the Ontario Government and guidelines provided by Ontario Ministry of Health, local health authorities and the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre along with Little Canada.

The health and safety of everyone attending the conference including attendees, staff, volunteers, and suppliers is top priority for EDCO. Government regulations no-longer require EDCO to ask all attendees to be fully vaccinated. As of March 21st, masks will no-longer be mandatory as per Government regulations.

We appreciate your support in working with us to host a safe and successful conference. Please monitor your health and check for signs of symptoms of COVID-19. We ask you not to attend in-person if you are experiencing any symptoms. While mask wearing is optional (as of March 21st 2022), should you choose not to wear a mask, please support those that do wear a mask during the conference.

EDCO will update this Duty of Care reflecting our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and comfort of those joining us at the conference.

MARRIOTT DOWNTOWN AT CF TORONTO EATON CENTRE

At this time the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre is no longer required by Provincial regulations to ask every person entering the hotel meeting and event space as well as public spaces such as restaurants, gyms, etc. to be fully vaccinated. However, health screening and wearing a mask at all times in public areas, engaging in appropriate physical distancing and not attending the event if you are experiencing any signs, symptoms or have recently been exposed to, or diagnosed and not yet cleared by provincial health authorities as non-contagious with COVID-19 will be in place.

OPENING RECEPTION AT LITTLE CANADA, 10 DUNDAS STREET EAST, TORONTO, ON

The health and safety of guests and staff is Little Canada’s top priority. Little Canada will create an environment where all visitors feel safe, just as they would in their own home.
