Corie McDougall is the Assistant Deputy Minister (A), Export Growth and International Representation (EGIRD). EGIRD promotes Ontario internationally to drive global partnerships in trade, investment and innovation. The division designs and delivers export promotion programs for Ontario SMEs, leverages the province’s international network of Trade and Investment offices to represent its trade and investment interests abroad, and delivers strategic inbound business delegation programs and outbound Minister missions to capture new trade and investment leads.
Corie started with the OPS in 2008 and has held a number of trade, economic and international business development positions, including Director of the International Missions Secretariat within the former Ministry of International Trade and, most recently, Director of the Export Growth Branch. Prior to joining the Ministry, Corie worked in telecommunications for Rogers Communications in Canada, and Ericsson in Sweden and the US, and on two separate occasions as a Singapore-based consultant and Director for Intercedent Asia, delivering market entry strategies within their consulting & research practice. Corie has lived, worked and studied in Asia, Europe and North America.
Corie has a degree in Economics from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Ivey Business School.
