Ted Davis is Managing Director for Avison Young Toronto West & Southwestern Ontario. Ted oversees daily operations in a region that is experiencing major growth and movement, specializing in the sale and lease of properties for various sectors such as warehouse, manufacturing, office, technology and life sciences. For nearly 20 years, Ted has been involved in over 1,000 transactions, totaling more than $1.5B, in industrial, development, office and investment properties.
Ted joined Avison Young in 2010 as co-founder and Managing Director of offices located in Waterloo Region and London. He later merged the brokerage with Avison Young’s corporate operations, becoming a Principal. Following this exciting transition, Ted became Managing Director of Toronto West as well as Southwestern Ontario.

Ted started his career in commercial real estate in 2004 at Royal LePage Commercial’s Industrial Division in Mississauga. He has cultivated his experience to become a prominent commercial broker and manager in the market, and has received several accolades and invitations to industry recognition programs.

With a passion for business, Ted is a lifelong entrepreneur and has founded numerous businesses. He is President of a successful management company that invests, manages and transacts businesses. Some of Ted’s experience with company ownership and investment include real estate, technology, insurance, media and government industry sectors.

Ted is a strong believer in ongoing education and is passionate about supporting the growth of those around him. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Management and received the prestigious C.I.M. designation (Certified in Management). He has also earned the SIOR Designation (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) as well as the designation of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member). Both designations are provided only to those in the real estate industry with a strong commitment to their profession, ethics and success.

Ted sits on several Boards of Directors, including the Canadian Institute of Management, Kitchener-Waterloo Commercial Council of Realtors and Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. He is also involved in the United Way and Alzheimer’s Society. He is also deeply involved in Diversity & Inclusion initiatives within business.

A passionate public speaker, Ted has spoken at events hosted by the Certified General Accountants, Human Resources Professionals Association and Canadian Institute of Management. He has also presented at the University of Guelph, Western University and Conestoga College, to encourage new entrants in commercial real estate.
